ADMINISTRATION
Over the course of the various ministry jobs and volunteer ministries which I have had, I have developed a keen interest in good administration and the value of timely, clear and accessible communication. In particular, I have applied these skills towards the work of justice. I believe that effective administration and communications practices are flexible, adaptable, patient, and open to feedback and critique.
I know that managing information such as contacts, schedules, and financial records are often a challenge for small organizations, particularly those run principally by volunteers. I have experience in setting up administrative systems to help everyone participate in the effective administration of an organization. I have also provided administrative support such as graphic design, advertising or running registration for more short term projects such as conferences and retreats.
In my ministry, I work with people of many different ages, experiences and backgrounds and I facilitate collaboration and communication between people in order to ensure that together we get things done. Sometimes this means keeping many details of different people’s schedules in mind in order to find the best time for a meeting; or knowing the best way to get a hold of someone to get a response on an urgent issue; or being aware of ways people can join in a meeting or decision-making process from afar when travel is too difficult or expensive. I would love to put these gifts to work for you and your organization.
