About ME
I have worked in parish and diocesan ministry for the past ten years, focusing mostly on intergenerational ministry. I currently live in Vancouver, but I am originally from Ottawa, Ontario and I often find myself back in Ottawa visiting family and friends. Before I found the climatically ideal city to call home, I lived in New Haven, CT and Cambridge, UK while I was studying. I have an MAR in liturgical studies from the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale and a BA in Mission Studies and Interreligious Dialogue from Saint Paul University in Ottawa.
I keep myself busy with many different ministries and projects; right now I am a member at large of the board of CampOUT, a camp for queer, trans, 2 spirit and allied youth in British Colombia, I am a part of the International Anglican Women’s network with whom I have been to the UN Commission on the Status of Women four times, and I am also a member of the Canadian Anglican Roman Catholic Dialogue. I also attend St Augustine’s Anglican Church in Vancouver where I am the parish treasurer, synod delegate, guest preacher and a choir member.
I am passionate about drumming, grassroots ecumenism, photography, intersectionality, liturgical geekery, good administration, singing in harmony, empowering young people, godparenting, eating french fries and being a feminist killjoy. I believe that every voice is important in the song of God’s creation and I aim to empower people of all ages to use their voices as leaders in their churches and communities by first of all learning how to listen.
